Ngenic is contributing its technology and expertise to the innovative “Next Generation Arholma” (NextGen) project, which aims to create a more resilient power system by fostering collaboration between the power grid and electricity consumers. The project’s vision is to ensure that critical societal functions can continue to operate during a crisis or war.
“We are very pleased to be part of this socially relevant project. By using our existing technology for smart control of heat pumps, we can help create a more robust and flexible power system that can handle future challenges to ensure a reliable power grid in all situations,” says Björn Berg, CEO of Ngenic
“This is one of the most fascinating projects I’m leading at Vattenfall. The opportunity to generate power using advanced technology, combined with the ability to influence customers’ electricity consumption in real time to prevent power outages during a disruption, makes this work incredibly exciting and
multifaceted,” says Niklas Sjöberg, Senior Innovation and Business Strategist at Vattenfall Eldistribution and the project manager responsible for the initiative
This collaborative project is led by Vattenfall Eldistribution's Innovation Department.
